Gordon Brown
Managing Director

After leaving Oak Bay High School, Gordon went to work in Montreal for the Federation Insurance Company. In 1950 he joined his father and uncle at Brown Bros. Agencies Ltd. Specializing in General Insurance, Gordon became President in 1965. Through his capable stewardship, Brown Bros. has grown to become a leader in Victoria's business community.

Gordon has been associated with volunteer community organizations and has been past Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of Victoria, Director of the Greater Victoria Hospital Society, and a member of the Rotary Club of Victoria.

William Brown, B.Comm., R.I.(B.C.), N.P.
President

After working for the British America Assurance Co. in 1972 and 1973, Bill Brown joined the family firm of P.R. Brown and Sons Limited in 1973, and was appointed President in 1985. This firm merged with the related company Brown Bros. Agencies Ltd. in 1990. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Bill holds a Level 3 General Insurance Agent's Licence, a Real Estate Agent's Licence, a Commissioner of Oaths and Notary Public in and for the Province of B.C., and is a member of the Professional Division of the Real Estate Institute of B.C.

Bill is also the current Director of the Maritime Museum Foundation, Director of the Friends of the Royal British Columbia Museum, past Director and President of the Insurance Brokers Association of British Columbia and the Victoria Insurance Agents Association.

Bill is also a member of the Real Estate Coucil of BC.

Robert Richards, B.Comm., CGA
Controller

Bob joined Brown Bros. in 1974. In addition to holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Bob is a Certified General Accountant and is also a Licensed Realtor.

Bob is also Past President of the the Canadian Diabetes Association BC & Yukon Division. He is also past Liaison Governor representing Southern Vancouver Island on the Board of Directors of the Certified General Accountants Association of B.C.

David Brown

Graduating from Oak Bay High School in 1977, David began his career with the Halifax Insurance Company in Vancouver, B.C. He later joined Brown Bros. Agencies Ltd. in 1986 specializing in General Insurance, licensed under the Insurance Act as an agent.

David is President of the Victoria Insurance Brokers Association and is an ex Board member of the Insurance Brokers Association of BC.

David is a past Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Victoria and a member of the Canadian Affiliation of Family Enterprise (C.A.F.E.), an organization of multi-generational family businesses.
